About Us

In 1972, Tunku Abdul Rahman College set up the School of Technology, whose mission was to provide programmes that allowed students to acquire qualifications from internationally recognised professional bodies, such as the Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia (BQSM), Royal Institute of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM), Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) and the Engineering Council (EC). In 2013, with the upgrading of the college to Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TARUC), the School of Technology became the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment (FEBE), enhancing the ability of TARUC to provide quality education to its students by offering fully accredited Bachelor’s Degree programmes. In 2017, FEBE took another leap forward by diverging into two separate faculties. The new Faculty of Engineering (FOEN) provides the same excellent service as its predecessors have done for the past 45 years, and opens its doors to all students in the pursuit of academic excellence and engineering expertise.
