The Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation in Education between TAR UMT and YWICC was signed on 19 April 2024.  TAR UMT and YWICC were agreed to develop, promote and cooperate with one another in various activities such as: sharing of academic knowledge and best practices; staff and student engagements; and fostering partnerships and long term relationships with one another.

Senior officials from TAR UMT visited YWICC on 22 March 2024, to discuss potential collaboration in scientific research, joint training for students, staff exchange, and student exchange programs.

From 18 December 2023 to 25 December 2023

TAR UMT organized an 8-day study tour for international students from Yiwu Industrial & Commercial College, featuring cultural activities, visits to MDEC, and exploration of TAR UMT's labs and facilities. The program also included tours of KL City, Putrajaya, and Malacca Heritage, allowing students from China to discover the beauty and historical richness of Malaysia. The initiative aimed to provide a comprehensive understanding of academic and cultural aspects, fostering meaningful connections among students from diverse backgrounds.
