Two Green Thumbs Up for TAR UMT Arena

TAR UMT Arena, the University’s upcoming student and SME centre, has acquired two awards for its sustainability, environmental-friendly and green technology features.

On 22 November 2024, Green Real Estate (GreenRE) awarded the arena a Provisional Platinum 5-Star Rating under the GreenRE-MyCREST Joint Certificate (Pilot Project) 2023/2024. This award was presented to TAR UMT during the 4th GreenRE Sustainable Development Awards in conjunction with REHDA (Real Estate Housing Developers Association) Malaysia Annual Dinner 2024.

A week later, TAR UMT Arena won another award, this time it is the Green Building Index (GBI) Gold Certification. GBI is Malaysia's international green building benchmark certification and a global benchmark for sustainable excellence. TAR UMT received this prestigious certification from environmental consultant Green Quarter Sdn Bhd.
