MANAGEMENT / ADMINISTRATIVE POSITIONS

Director (Department of International Student Office)
The successful candidate will be responsible to draw up focused plans and strategies to increase international student intake in potential target market; ability to increase the University College’s global branding and positioning as an educational provider of choice by international students; establish close rapport with Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) and any other relevant authorities so as to keep abreast with regulations on visa application/student mobility passes/health checks pertaining to international students; ensure the Department of International Student Office provides quality services to all international students on matters pertaining to recruitment, visa application, accommodation, welfare, pastoral care and support; manage, train and monitor international agents and representatives to ensure that they are able to advise prospective students of their pathways and courses offered by University College and manage the departmental budget to achieve the agreed KPI.

  • • Candidate should possess a recognized Bachelor's / Master's degree in Marketing or related discipline with at least 10 years of relevant work experience in a higher education environment.
  • • Strong leadership qualities to drive teams to excel.

 

Deputy Director (Department of Human Resource)
The successful candidate will be responsible to assist the Director in the development, implementation and evaluation of all human resource and industrial relations policies and the overall management and administration of human resource and industrial relations issues in the University College. He is to provide support, guidance and advice on all human resource operational matters within the University College and the Department of Human Resource.

  • • Candidate should possess at least a Bachelor’s degree with good knowledge of Malaysian Labour Laws and industrial relation practices.
  • • Candidate must be matured and possess excellent leadership, planning, organisational, written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • • Candidate must have a minimum of 15 years of relevant working experience, preferably in an education environment.

 

Deputy Director (Centre for Continuing and Professional Education)
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall success of the extension education, professional training, customized corporate training, certification training, personal development, lifelong training programmes, study tours, in-bound and outbound student mobility programmes, staff and students exchange and customised corporate mobility programmes. The candidate should be able to design, develop and organise training and development for students, staff, alumnus and external clients. In addition, the candidate should also be able to collaborate with external agencies, government departments, oversea universities, industries and partners to forge links and collaborations as well as identify and explore potential market, business and opportunities pertaining to the activities of the Centre.

  • • Candidate should possess a recognised Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, Education, Business Administration or equivalent qualifications with minimum of 10 years’ working experience in Training and Development capacity.
  • • Candidate must possess excellent communication, leadership, management and interpersonal skills.

 

Manager (Quality Assurance)
The successful candidate will be required to assist in the formulation, implementation, monitoring and review of quality assurance policies and systems pertaining to academic standards, learning opportunities, management of quality and standard as well as ensuring that internal control and operative systems are in place for effective corporate governance. The candidate is expected to liaise with government agencies and accreditation bodies, both local and overseas and be familiar with the auditing processes of these bodies. The candidate is also expected to ensure proper management of ISO 9001:2015. Candidate:

  • • Should possess a recognised Bachelor’s degree with minimum CGPA of 3.25 and/or professional qualifications with minimum of 8 years’ working experience in the relevant field.
  • • Must have relevant experience in Academic Assurance work and workings of ISO 9001:2015.

 

Manager (Division of Internal Audit)
The successful candidate will be responsible to conduct independent appraisal of the effectiveness of the internal control system to ensure its compliance with the University College policies, regulations, laws and standards; performs preliminary planning and establishes direction for audits, provides leadership and ensure timely preparation and accurate submission of periodic audit reports for internal and regulatory agency review. The candidate is also expected to evaluate and review operations, programmes, administrative processes and practices for quality and effectiveness, report on findings, make recommendations for improvement and monitor auditees' response and implementation and conducting thorough follow-up audits on previously identified issues. In addition, the candidate has to coordinate and interact with appointed external auditors on any issues of concerns raised during its annual audit.

  • • Candidate should possess a recognised Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance / Business Administration or related field with minimum CGPA of 3.25 or professional accounting qualifications with minimum of 5 years' working experience in the relevant field.
  • • Knowledge of auditing concepts and principles, financial recordkeeping procedures, laws, regulations and standards.
  • • Strong problem solving skills.
  • • Strong leadership qualities to drive teams to excel.

 

Executive, Internal Audit
The successful candidate will be required to assist in the preparation of audit programmes, checklists and audit procedures, conduct audit fieldwork according to audit plan, maintain proper and complete audit work papers. The candidate is also expected to prepare draft audit report to the Head of Division with audit findings and appropriate recommendations. Candidate:

  • • Should possess a recognised Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or Business Administration or related field with minimum CGPA of 3.25 or professional accounting qualifications. Preferably with working experience in Internal Audit. Fresh graduates may apply.
  • • Should have sound knowledge of operational control principles and practices.
  • • Should be able to work independently, proactive and result oriented to meet deadlines and objectives.
  • • Should be a good team player.

 

IT Personnel
i) Technical Engineer
The successful candidate will be responsible for the configuring, testing, implementing, troubleshooting and providing technical support on ICT hardware and software, planning, managing and maintaining documentation on the ICT equipment and procedures.

  • • Candidate should possess a recognised Bachelor’s degree with minimum CGPA of 3.25 in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. Preferable with 1-2 years’ working experience in technical support of ICT equipment and software.
  • • Must be willing to travel and ready to work long hours when required.

ii) Laboratory Officer
The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation and administration of the computer laboratories including planning, maintaining and troubleshooting of computers.

  • • Candidate should possess a recognised Bachelor’s degree with minimum CGPA of 3.25 in Computer Science / Information Technology or related field.

iii) Teaching & Learning Support Officer
The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration and management of the e-learning system, provide support and conduct workshops / training to students and staff on the use of the e-learning system, develop web services and applications for e-learning.

  • • Candidate should possess a recognised Bachelor’s degree with minimum CGPA of 3.25. Fresh graduates may apply.

iv) Application Analyst
The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of system applications.

  • • Candidate should possess a recognised Bachelor’s degree with minimum CGPA of 3.25 in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. Fresh graduates may apply.

v) Web Developer
The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, designing, development, testing and maintenance of the Institution website and web applications.

  • Candidate should possess a recognised Bachelor’s degree with minimum CGPA of 3.25. Preferable with 1-2 years’ working experience in web development of services and applications.
  • Knowledgeable in web programming with HTML/XHTML, Javascript, CSS, AJAX, ASP, C#, ASP.NET, PHP or JSP.
  • Candidate must have experience in MS SQL, MySQL or Oracle database.
  • Candidate must have solid understanding of web application development process from user interface to relational database structures. Creative in designing with Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Flash and Illustrator.

 

Activities and Sports Coordinator 
Candidate should possess a recognised Bachelor's degree with minimum CGPA of 3.25 in Sport Science.

 

Estate Officer (Based at Kuala Lumpur and Penang Campus)
The successful candidate will be responsible to carry out detailed inspections of buildings and campus compound, execute all operation & maintenance activities of the campus as well as supervise all works being carried out by contractors and suppliers.

  • • Candidate should possess a recognised Bachelor’s degree with minimum CGPA of 3.25 in Civil / Structural / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or other related field with minimum 2 years’ working experience.

 

Senior Assistant Registrar / Assistant Registrar
The successful candidate will be responsible for all office administration, managing and supervision of staff as well as preparation of documents, minutes of meetings and reports. Candidate:

  • • Should possess a recognised Bachelor’s / Master’s degree with minimum CGPA of 3.25 or equivalent qualification.
  • • With working experience in an educational institution is preferred.

 

Laboratory Officer
The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation and administration of the computer laboratories including planning, maintaining and troubleshooting of computers.

  • • Candidate should possess a recognised Bachelor's degree with minimum CGPA of 3.25 in Computer Science / Information Technology or related field.

 

Administrative Assistant (Based at Kuala Lumpur and Pahang Branch)
The successful candidate is expected to perform a wide variety of administrative support services which includes maintenance of a comprehensive administrative filing system and any other tasks as may be assigned.

  • •Candidate should possess a recognised Diploma / Advanced Diploma qualification. Candidate should be knowledgeable in MS Office applications.
