Assoc Prof Dr Ng shared with all the delegates TAR UC’s journey of transforming itself with the aim of becoming an entrepreneurial university in a talk entitled “Innovative and Entrepreneurial Talent Development: Experience of a Malaysian University”, at the 2nd Annual Session of China-ASEAN Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Alliance of Universities- Global Innovative and Entrepreneurial Talent Training Principle Forum, hosted by Guizhou Institute of Technology.

“As we aim to become an entrepreneurial university, CBIEV was set up with the aim of nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit amongst the TARCian community by facilitating and supporting the entrepreneurial efforts of our students, staff and alumni,” shared Assoc Prof Dr Ng.  “To further adopt an entrepreneurial mindset, some policies of the University College were both revised and rewritten to effect desired change in the community.”

“Furthermore, academic faculties and CBIEV work hand-in-hand to provide students with a platform to express their creative and innovative ideas. For example, the iSpark programme by CBIEV helps entrepreneurial students share and pitch their ideas to alumni and receive feedback to improve the ideas,” continued Assoc Prof Dr Ng.
