TARCians Set Out to Motivate Primary School Children to Excel in Studies

Empowered to make change, eight Tunku Abdul Rahman College (TAR College) students set out to the outskirts of Selangor on 19 March 2011, to nurture further interests to excel in studies among students from SK Sungai Bumbum.

The eight TAR College students form a group called Team Elitexus, all of whom are participants of the BEST Soft Skills Development programme, which is a joint out-of-classroom project between KPMG and TAR College, focusing on development of TAR College students to be well-rounded individuals.

Through simple scientific demonstrations, game activities and sharing sessions, the corporate social responsibility (CSR) project aimed to motivate the primary school students to excel and further their studies. The group also provided students with the necessary stationeries for their studies and exams.
