Oh Ee Ro, a student of the Cambridge GCE A Level programme at TAR UMT, has been recognised as the top scorer in Malaysia for Business in the October/November 2023 A Level examinations. Demonstrating outstanding academic excellence, Ee Ro earned 3A* and 1A in Economics, Accounting, Business, and Mathematics respectively.

Ee Ro attributes much of her success to her mentor, Ms Theng Siew Wah, who provided invaluable guidance, especially in essay writing. "She provided constructive comments on my essays and patiently guided me through the topics I didn't fully understand. I truly appreciate her selfless dedication in helping me in my preparation for the examinations," Ee Ro shared.

Reflecting on her time at TAR UMT, Ee Ro expressed her appreciation for the conducive study environment. "The TAR UMT library has always been my favourite spot to study. It's spacious and resourceful, and provides a conducive space for students to study during exam season. The individual study rooms offer a great view of the University's compound and the silence needed to focus. Additionally, I never hesitated to approach my lecturers and tutors for clarifications and help and they have been helpful every step of the way," she said.

Looking ahead, Ee Ro plans to further her studies in Economics at University College London (UCL), provided she secures a scholarship from corporate sponsors. "I still keep my career options open, but I see myself more likely to be involved in the international trade and finance industry after graduation," she said.
