TAR University College team consisting of Lim Wei Chyi, Liau Siock Yeong, Lim Hui Chin, Tan Yi Wei and Tan Tzer Wen emerged as the champion of DELL Business Challenge 2014 beating five other competing institutions of higher learning, namely, USM, UUM, PTPL College, Inti International University and KDU College on 17 April 2014 at Dell Asia Pacific Customer Centre 1, Bayan Lepas.

Dell initiated the inaugural Dell Business Challenge for local university and college students to identify talents to join their Accounting Development Programme (ADP) and Finance Development Programme (FDP).

Ten students from the ACCA Revision course and the Bachelor of Accounting (Honours) programme were divided into two teams in the participation of the competition. The students were asked to analyse an authentic business case study and present their solutions to the business problems orally to the Dell senior management team. The criteria of assessment were based on logic, clarity, attention to detail and in-depth analysis. As the champion, the students were awarded the team prize trophy, certificate of award and guaranteed employment interview with Dell upon graduation.
