About more than 800 students were all ears to the forum on Hot Talk Series, China: The Next Wave as a Leading Globalized Market led by the TAR College Council Chairman, YB Tan Sri Ong Ka Ting. The students were from School of Social Science and Humanities (Public Relations, Journalism, Multimedia Design, Hotel Management and other courses).

The panel speakers, Mr Quek Ching Pong, the CEO of Linde (China), Linde Asia Pacific and the parent group KION group gave a very impressive and informative talk on China’s super economic growth and career opportunities. Ms Wong Yok Koon, the Senior Executive Vice President of Siverlake Axis Integrated Bank Solution (SIBS) elaborated on employability of TAR College Graduates and their admirable qualities of being humble and hardworking. A lively questions and answers session took place at the end of the forum.

There was also a mock cheque presentation of RM250,000 to YB Tan Sri Ong Ka Ting by Ms Wong Yok Koon to set up the Goh Peng Ooi student loan fund.
